“The story of a one-eyed creature”, a work based on Rhapsody 10 of Homer’s Odyssey and “Erotic Polyphemus” by Theocritus of Syracuse.
Theatre, live music and visual arts meet on stage. Cyclops Polyphemus comes to life on stage in a large visual installation in the form of a puppet – which the actor moves from within. The actors who frame Odysseus, alternately play different characters / roles in the story – from Odysseus’ companions to Cyclops’ rams – and, playing percussion instruments, accompany the live music lute music.
